FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – ANSWERS TO ALL THINGS BABE!

Q: How long can I view the courses I purchase?

A: You have 60 days of access from the date of purchase.

Q: Do I also receive tools or a kit?

A: Any tools or kits needed must be a separate purchase done through one of our distributors.

Q: Do I have to get Certified?

A: No. You can just go through the videos if you like. However, we recommend certification because it’s full of great benefits. Read more about certification Here.

Q: Can I purchase just one method?

A: Yes. Each method’s training course is separate from the others.

Q: How many times can I watch the training videos?

A: As many times as you want, as long as it’s within the 30-day window after purchase. You can log in to another computer to watch the videos, too.

Q: What can I do with my Babe Certification?

A: So many things! Once you get your certificate, you can hang it up in your salon to advertise to your clients that you not only use Babe Hair and/or Lash Extensions, but that you are certified to install and maintain them as well. It’s a great way to help your business grow. You’ll also be the first to know about all of the new Babe products and promotions. Click here to learn more about certification.

Q: Why should I become certified?

A: There are many benefits to becoming certified. When you are Babe Certified, you can feel confident working with hair and/or lash extensions. Adding extensions to your skill set opens doors and helps your business grow. Your clients will be able to count on your training and experience. Babe will reward you with marketing materials, reference guides, and much more. You’ll be listed on our website as a Certified Stylist, so potential clients in your area will be able to find you more easily.

Q: What does it take to become certified?

A: Watch the video of the method for which you would like to become certified. Practice on a mannequin or on a real person, and make sure to take lots of photos of the process. We want to see not just before-and-after photos, but close-ups of the placement and attachments. You’ll also need to submit a written test. One course with certification costs $99. (Certification in all three hair extension methods is available through The Complete Online Course for only $229.) To view our course offerings, click here.

Q: What materials will I need to do training and/or certification?

A: First, make sure you’ve purchased access to our online education videos, and that you have Internet access. You’ll also need the corresponding starter kit for the method you’ve selected. You can purchase your lash extension kit or hair extension kit from a Babe distributor or through a Babe representative. Each kit comes with all the tools necessary for installation and removal in your method. You’ll also need a camera to take before-and-after pictures if you’re getting certified.

Q: When will I get my certificate?

A: We’ll send you your Babe Certification as soon as possible–about 2 business days after you send in your written test and before-and-after pictures.

Q: What happens if I don’t pass?

A: We’ll give you two more chances! If you need more help, give us a call and a stylist representative will assist you by giving helpful tips so you can retake the test and re-upload your pictures. (1-888-840-2223)

Q: Which method should I pick?

A: Each method is useful to know for different reasons. Lash extensions are a universally appealing service that involves consistent visits for proper upkeep. As such, it often provides a steady and reliable stream of income for stylists and salon owners. Hair extensions are a heavier-duty service, in that they require more time and financial investment. But, because of this, they add a lot of profit to your salon business. We offer four distinct hair extension methods that are covered in three courses. Fusion is one of the oldest methods, and thereby one of the most trusted. I-Tip (Beaded) is a popular method that is known for its natural flow. Tape-In is a method that women love because it’s the fastest to install. And Flat-Tip (our I-Tip alternative), combines the benefits of I-Tip and Tape-In extensions for an entirely comfortable and damage-free application. You can always recommend a certain method to your clients, however, many will already have a certain method they like best. It is good to be well-rounded and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

Q: What are the videos like?

A: Each video is just under two hours long. Our master stylist and Director of Education, Kari Fuller, will show you how to complete the entire extension installation, maintenance, removal, and reinstallation process. The videos are divided into the following sections: tools, consultation, preparation, installation, blending and styling (for hair extensions), aftercare, and maintenance and removal.

Q: Who is Kari Fuller?

A: Kari is the educator in our Online Education videos and Babe’s Director of Education. She’s an experienced stylist and an experienced instructor with her own school in Utah. To learn more about Kari, click here.

Q: Can I get the videos on DVD?

A: At this time we only offer our educational courses via our online portal. We’ve done this to offer easy access to the courses as well as a more affordable educational experience. That being said, we do offer an abridged hair extension education course on DVD. It’s called “Getting Started with Hair Extensions–The Right Way,” and you can learn more about that here.

Q: I only purchased access to the videos, but now I want to become certified. What do I do?

A: Call us at 1-888-840-2223 and a stylist representative will assist you in purchasing certification after initial training enrollment.
