Products to Prep for Summer

Summer is just around the corner, and we can just about smell the barbecues, beaches, and outdoor brunches already! Of course, it’s not all fun and food in the coming months—sun and heat-related hair damage is no joke, and you should be preparing your salon now to cater to the needs of your vacation-bound clients. So what should you have up and ready by the time June 21st rolls around? Read on to find out!

Heat-friendly after care products
Set your clients up with some after care products that style hair to perfection while protecting it from heat and UV radiation. This can include SPF-infused texturizing sprays and styling creams, or simply good, old-fashioned heat protectants. Make sure to put these products in a place of prominence so your clients can see them, and don’t be afraid to recommend them at the end of an appointment!

Dry Shampoo
Outdoor activities and additional summer sweatiness are, unfortunately, no excuse to over-wash hair extensions. Let your clients know that they can achieve the same level of cleanliness without the additional showers by incorporating some Dry Shampoo into their routine. Babe’s proprietary Dry Spray Shampoo is formulated to work perfectly with hair extensions, replacing every other shower and leaving a divine vanilla scent in its wake.

Fusion Go Belt
Chances are that your salon is hot enough in the summertime. Keep any additional heat from Babe’s Fusion Melting Connector contained using our brand-new Fusion Go Belt—a wearable, heat-resistant pouch that holds your activated Melting Connector safely and securely as you work. The best part is that the Fusion Go Belt enables you to move easily around your workspace, without needing to set down or reach around for your Melting Connector after every Fusion strand. Talk about liberating!

Blonde, funky, and pastel colors
Summer is a time when many clients want to try out lighter, bolder, and generally more playful hair colors, with hair extensions and mixed color alike. Give the people what they want by stocking up on blonde, vibrant, and pastel formulas, as well as blonde and funky hair extensions. We find that extension color #60 (Patsy) works as a great base for color makeovers. Seeing as it’s our lightest neutral shade, it readily absorbs any pigment added to it, without distorting the tone of the formulation.

Instant Hair
When you’re going from school to work to beach to bungalow and back again, flexibility is absolutely key. Clients may not want to commit to high-maintenance, semi-permanent extension methods when they’re gearing up for an eventful summer—especially since we don’t advise mixing professional methods and salt/chlorine water. Instant Hair is a simple compromise: it allows clients to enjoy the beautiful effect of semi-permanent hair extensions, without the sometimes limiting after care that accompanies it. All they have to do is take the extensions off before jumping into the water.

Flat-Tip
As far as semi-permanent extension methods go, we mentioned just recently that Flat-Tip is a great choice for summertime because of its forgiving installation/correction technique, its hat-compatibility, and it’s blow-in-the-breeze mobility. It’s also currently on sale at your local Babe distributor! Pay them a visit today and pick up some Flat-Tip extensions for 15% off—this May-June, only.

Marketing Materials
Finally, if you don’t have Babe Marketing Materials donning your salon walls, shelves, and mirrors already, now is the time to get with the program. They’re a fast and painless way to advertise your hair extension services to all of the clients who step foot in your space. And since summer tends to bring in a lot of new customers looking for hair transformations, it’s the perfect time to introduce them to Babe.
