Attending your First Hair Show

Attending your First Hair Show

Hair shows are a “must” for any stylist, at least once during your career. It’s a time to network with other stylist, learn new techniques and skills and to discover new products. It’s also a great opportunity, if you’re showcasing a booth, to meet potential customers face to face and introduce them to your product.

Each industry trade show is unique, but all offer various classes for show attendees. Some are free while others require pre-resignation and a small fee. Whether you want to learn a new extensions technique, or the latest techniques in nail design, there are classes for everyone.

Another key part of the experience is to “window shop” the various booths. All the key players in hair and beauty will have booths from which you can purchase products and interact with company representatives. In an era where so much interaction takes place online, going to a show is a unique opportunity to see products and get new ideas live and in the flesh! Some extensions booths will have stylists installing their hair on models so that booth visitors can see all their different installation methods in action. You can often purchase hair at a discounted price.

Hair shows can call a big crowd, so it’s important to book your travel and hotels as much in advance as possible -- they’ll fill up fast.

Keep your eyes open for hair events in 2014 in which Babe will be showcasing their product!
